40th anniversary celebration

Bay City Cycles was founded in 1981 by Joe Agostine and his father, and was soon sold to Bill Holman. Karl Faber bought into the shop with the legendary Dr. Tim Doyle in 1988 and has operated Bay City Cycles ever since. His daughter Alex grew up in the store and just won’t leave.

We are celebrating Bay City Cycles 40th Anniversary in 1981.

While the pandemic limits how we can celebrate, we hope to engage people in our year long celebration as best we can with:

  • Throw Back Thursday posts on Facebook and Instagram all year long! Do you have any Bay City Cycles memories? Reach out! Help us share with the world.
  • Fingers crossed, were hoping for a 40th Anniversary bike ride! One mile for every year. Stay tuned!
  • Special Bay City Cycles merchandise in store. Stop in!
